How important is aircraft preparation and preservation?
Many aircraft owners may think that treating and preserving the materials, whether exterior paintwork or plastics and interior upholstery, ensures that the appearance of the aircraft or helicopter is preserved. This is of course a point that is not entirely wrong, but it is not just an advantage.
Caring for and preserving the aircraft is necessary to protect the paint on the outside and to keep plastics and leather supple in the cockpit and interior.
But why actually?
The paintwork and windows as well as add-on parts of the aircraft are constantly exposed to the effects of the weather such as hail, rain, ice and snow. UV radiation, sand, oil and petrol come into contact with the skin of the aircraft almost every day. But dirt, bird droppings and insects also damage the materials and burn into them.
In order to prevent a dull and broken paintwork, an aircraft needs a protective film on its skin and its attachments. If, for example, an aircraft paint is not preserved, it quickly becomes dull or suffers sun damage. Haze and corrosion of the attachments are often the result.
Did you know that a dull aircraft surface leads to increased fuel consumption and loss of power?
A clean and smooth protected surface ensures the right aerodynamics of the aircraft and with a seal you can save a few liters of fuel. In addition, a surface seal provides long-term protection against expensive repainting.
Unfortunately, airplane and helicopter owners often do not have the know-how or experience to maintain an aircraft. Often there is no place to wash and you alternatively use the bucket and rag and actually spread the dirt over the entire surface, causing damage to the paintwork.
We at ACP have specialized in aircraft preparation. We clean and polish your aircraft with special methods.
With a scratch-free and paint-friendly dry wash, consisting of a wax emulsion that is applied and covers the dirt, we clean the aircraft without water. We use microfibre cloths to remove the covered dirt particles in a controlled and scratch-free manner. We remove coarse dirt with a surface-friendly steam cleaning system.
To prepare the paint, we use high-quality polishes, as well as carnauba wax and long-term ceramic seals. We prepare the interiors and cockpits hygienically and professionally and seal the materials to match your material.
We at ACP will be happy to advise you and answer all your questions about the preparation and care of your aircraft.
For special aircraft or vintage vehicles, we select the right care together with you and give you an offer tailored to your darling.
FAQ
Why actually polish a vehicle or seal it with wax or ceramics, or keep leather or plastic elastic with a protective film?
Car paint and car surfaces, whether inside or outside, are exposed to dirt, salt, UV radiation, petrol and oils as well as tar and stone chippings on a daily basis. But insects and bird droppings also attack the skin of the vehicle and burn into it.
If the materials are not properly cared for, they will also break or begin to rust. We humans also take care of ourselves every day with soaps, oils and creams. Our beloved vehicles (from motorcycles to our own planes) also need this.
Driving your vehicle through the car wash is a good start to keep your vehicle clean, but often this is not enough and you cause nasty scratches on the paintwork in the long term from the washing brushes (these are not changed that often and often no longer see "fresh" off). Even when the weather is nice, people often work on their own in the parking lot or in the garage with waxes and polishes from the automotive sector.
But it is often not considered that insects or various dirt particles are still adhering to the paintwork. Now the vehicle is polished and waxed vigorously and then it happened, there are many fine scratches in the paintwork, which usually only become apparent after months, as more and more swirls form in the paintwork.
For precisely this reason, vehicle conditioners have specialized in using special methods to clean vehicles dirt-free and gently on the paintwork, to polish them professionally and to seal them with suitable care products in order to ensure long-term protection on the surface.
We not only clean paintwork but also upholstery and plastics hygienically and professionally and seal them with long-term protection products.

What is ceramic sealing
A ceramic seal is a transparent surface seal and paint protection for your plane or car. This coating, also known as quartz coating, is definitely the most innovative product on the market for sealing in the field of air and vehicle preparation, because it not only refines the air or vehicle paint, but also withstands weathering and abrasion - for up to 4 years *. In addition, there is a gloss effect that reinforces the standard paint from the factory.
The advantage is that washing by hand or in the car wash has to be carried out much less frequently because the protective layer keeps out external influences such as dirt and makes cleaning easier. This ensures that the stress on the paint, e.g. B. by micro-scratches in the car wash or by sponges, is significantly reduced.
The effort and the ceramic sealing costs are therefore profitable in the medium term. Another advantage of the ceramic seal is that it can be used on almost all body parts and surfaces, for example on plastic parts or the rims. The ceramic seal preserves the paint with extreme hardness, which is why extensive preparation is always necessary.
* Ceramic seals last up to 48 months with professional intermediate cleaning. Since professional intermediate cleaning is often not possible (car washes or quick cleaning by hand or different frequent use of the vehicle), we guarantee our customers an honest Sealing guarantee depending on the package from 12 -36 months.
What is carnauba wax?
Carnauba wax is the hardest natural wax in the world. The wax has a melting temperature of 80-87 degrees, which is very high for a natural wax. The hay-like smell that the wax gives off when it melts is characteristic. Due to its high hardness and incomparable shine, it is an excellent additive in car wax and finish polishes. Carnauba wax is far too hard to be processed in its pure state. For this reason, other waxes are always added to the carnauba wax in order to simplify processing.
In aircraft and vehicle preparation, wax is something like the holy grail of seals. An unsealed paint looks like a hilly landscape under the microscope. Carnauba wax closes these pores and gives the paint an incomparable shine. Due to the high degree of hardness and the smooth surface, the paintwork is optimally sealed and dirt is therefore much less likely to adhere.
